Twestival Local 2009

So, Twestival Local is almost upon us. Planned for Thursday September 10th, in a city centre venue close to you, many local tweeps will get together to chat, drink, eat, dance and network - not necessarily in that order!

The particular focus of Twestival Local is that we get to choose which local charity we support. (I’m secretly pleased as I suggested this in the feedback after the Feb event).

A twtpoll is currently in existence which is gathering votes on which local charity most deserves our support. All names on the list have been suggested via Twitter, and most have accounts on Twitter too. The ten charities, in no particular order are;

Rhys Jones Memorial Fund

North West Cancer Research Fund - Follow on Twitter @NWCRF

Wirral Autistic Society

Liverpool Unite

Clatterbridge - Follow on Twitter @clatterbridge

KIND

NACC

Claire House - Follow on Twitter @clairehouse

Zoe’s Place

Neurosupport

Voting closes at Midnight on Tuesday 17th August. Please vote - it’s important that your voice is heard.

As we have more details about Twestival Local, we’ll update this blog and of course, tweet excessively.

We already have one lovely prize thanks to @cromwellswirral and will be asking for more over the course of the next few days. If you’d like to donate anything for the prize draw or auction, please @ or DM @lpooltwestival, @m8nd1, @franticuk, @alisongow or @thelazyupstart (AKA The Organising Team).

Also, if you’d like to volunteer on the night to do door duty, bucket shaking or any other random jobs then please get in touch.
